This is the proposed patch to commemorate our Seventh Congress.The symbols this year are : Red = blood ; Green = Pine Trees ; Gray = Rained 22 days straight ; Red/Orange dirt = Georgia soil The patch will be available for purchase during the Congress.

Gary Goodson of Shawnee, Colo., removes the covering on a new Tennessee Historical Commission plaque Wednesday in memory of Confederate soldiers who encamped during the Civil War at Camp Van Dorn, near the present site of the Knoxville News Sentinel building. The marker is near the corner of
Western Avenue and News Sentinel Drive.

Since 2001 the GBSHHA has been honoring the soldiers that fought with the Georgia Brigade that consisted of the 40th, 41st, 42nd, 43rd, and 52nd Volunteer Infantry Regiments of the Confederate States of America.
 
Whether you are a descendant of one of the brave soldiers that served with one of the regiments of the Georgia Brigade, or are someone that has an interest in the history of these 7000 Confederates, our association invites you to join us.
